I was on fire running through the night
Something of a better man
Make it real good
Ya like you always could
I was in love
I was embarrassed
Paris
I was in love on fire
Meet me in the death room at a quarter to five
I will be by your side throwing bait in the fire
I was on fire, higher
Meet me in the death room with your war cry
Does it go till its tried?
Mine goes like this
I was on fire
I was on fire running through the night
Something of a better man
Make it real good
Ya like you always could
I was in love
I was embarrassed
Paris
I was in love on fire
Sword fight under the lights
I was moonshine
See me dance on the wire
I was on fire
I was going higher, higher
Sword fight under the lights
Arrows zoom by
I will be by your side
I was on fire
I was going higher, higher
(I can hear you breathing on the set
I can hear you beating on the set
I can feel you bleeding)
Go on lose your shoes
Your rally mood
Something that I
Thought I'd never lose
A darker and more expansive album for an already dark and expansive band. You & I is the aural equivalent of moving through the depths of an empty forest at midnight thrownofan
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
Musically not as innovative as the rest of their catalogue, but sonically, my goodness what a delight. Lyrically exactly the kind of beautiful, delicate, and moving material I've come to expect from this band. I expect this one to grow on me over time. Can't wait to see what they do next.
