One too another time
I pass along the sights
Breezy lately keeps me afterglow
So I walk back home
Roll film as I go
Color in sound found now
To be leapt on
Hey
I guess I'm diving to take apart
Who, where are you?
(soon who shines through)
Stay awake as we fall
We'll be better of the fall
Play in the waves
Make a sound
Make me out
We'll cover ground in a daze
All you ever wanted to be
City by the sea
Washed out my reflection
Make a sound
Make me out
We'll cover ground in haste
All you ever wanted to say
Take away the day
Play back
Our reflections
Watch you die and bloom over and over and over
I'm traveling through
Freezing under cover
Trying to get to you
Hey
Follow the sound of my voice
Hey
Keep coming into view
Who, where are you
Stay awake as we fall
We'll be better of the fall
We'll sign it kings
Make a sound
Make me out
We'll cover ground in a daze
All you ever wanted to be
Just one more seize
Washed out moon reflection
Make a sound
Make me out
We'll cover ground in haste
All you ever wanted to say
Take away day
Play back
Our reflections
You never know it's me when I call
Along as we ski
I never know it's you too
Along as we ski
Hard to stay awake as we fall
Along as we ski
Something true
At least there's a wedding
Where I can dance it up with my friends
At least there's beginnings
Going up and up and up in my head
There's fire in my stance
There's choirs in my sails
(When I call
I'm of the fall
I'm in this too like you
Holding tears driving through New York
Like that time abroad when you were young too
'Cause there's nothing true like you)
Make a sound
Make me out
We'll cover ground in a daze
All you ever wanted to be
Giant scenery
Washed out my reflection
Make a sound
Make me out
We'll cover ground in haste
All you ever wanted to say
Just one more day
Play back
Our reflections
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. Dreamy, intricate guitar pop from Oakland's Absent City; splashes of accordion, sitar, lap steel, and mandolin add textural richness. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2020
These tracks are straightforward and concise, never relying on gauzy metaphors to complicate her declarations of love. Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 20, 2017
Effortlessly juggling mood without slowing down or stopping to question themselves, the Singaporean band give new life to an age-old indie ethos. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 16, 2021
A darker and more expansive album for an already dark and expansive band. You & I is the aural equivalent of moving through the depths of an empty forest at midnight thrownofan
